KUALA LUMPUR: The absence of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at the opening of Parliament Monday (March 11) did not go unnoticed.
Najib's absence was due to his hearing at the Court of Appeal while Umno lawmakers were dumbfounded as to why Ahmad Zahid did not turn up for the first day of the Dewan Rakyat sitting that was opened by the King.
