GEORGE TOWN (Bernama): The Penang government will still open its door to 22 tenants of the People's Housing Project (PPR) at Taman Manggis to negotiate and find a solution.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said although their offer has been rejected several times, he hopes that the affected tenants will come forward and consider other alternatives such as applying for low-cost or low-medium cost houses.

He said the offer given to them to return to their homes for three days would end on Sunday (March 10), adding that they should take this time to look for other alternatives.

Chow said there were still plenty of vacant units under the state government housing projects besides PPR.
