Malaysia among seven Asian countries to get €8mil EU-UN fund to boost women empowerment programmes

PETALING JAYA: The European Union (EU) and United Nations (UN) Women have jointly launched an 8mil euros (RM36.7mil) women empowerment programme to encourage the private sector to expand economic participation and business opportunities for women in seven Asian countries, including Malaysia.

In a joint statement, the EU and UN Women said the "We Empower Asia" programme funded and implemented by them, aims to integrate gender concerns into business practices in the region.
