KAJANG: Johor’s top cop took time off to visit a critically injured personnel, who is still in a coma after an accident.

Sedili deputy police station chief Sjn Pathil Man was on his way to work when his motorcycle collided with another at the Tanjung Sedili Fisheries Complex in Kota Tinggi on Dec 19 last year.

Sjn Pathil successfully underwent an operation to remove a blood clot in his head at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Baru.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader said the sergeant suffered serious head injuries and fractured his right rib.

“This is the least I can do to give moral support to his family,” Comm Mohd Khalil said after presenting a donation to Sjn Pathil’s family.

His family has relocated from Kota Tinggi to here.

Sjn Pathil’s wife Rahimah Abd Ghani said she was grateful that her husband’s boss paid them a visit.

“It has been such a trying time for my family. I am thankful for all the help and support from the police force,” she said.
