GEORGE TOWN: Braving the cold tiled flooring and stares from people, eight families who refused to move out of their homes in the Taman Manggis People's Housing Project on Jalan Zainal Abidin have spent more than 24 hours outside Komtar.

Muhammad Kadim Kutnan, 51, who was arrested at his home after he refused to vacate – and released at around 9pm on Wednesday (March 6) – asked where his family of nine would go.
