MIRI: A police corporal, alleged to have raped and assaulted a 19-year-old girl at a police station, is staring at a lengthy jail term if the court finds him guilty.
The 53-year-old has claimed trial and will be fighting both charges in court. Sarawak CID chief Senior Asst Comm Dennis Leong said police obtained an order to charge him from the deputy public prosecutor on Feb 27.
