Architects on Osha amendments: Engage views of stakeholders first

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) said industry stakeholders should be engaged on the proposed amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1994 (Osha), which are expected to be tabled in Parliament this month.

PAM president Ezumi Harzani Ismail said it applauded efforts by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) to improve construction site safety and health practice through the amendment of legislation, proper engagement with architects, engineers, builders and developers should be conducted prior to introducing the new laws.
