Johor cops engage with more than 7,000 through 274 community policing events

KULAI: Johor police have engaged with more than 7,000 individuals throughout the state via its Mobile Policing Community Engagement (MPCE) programme since July last year.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader said the police had conducted 274 MPCE programmes involving all districts in Johor.

"We received 696 complaints from the public through the programme and have already solved almost all of these complaints.

"We realise that the best way to fight crime is to have the community working closely with us as the information supplied by them is valuable," he said.

He said this at a press conference after the soft launch of the Johor Police Mega Meet the Customers programme here Friday (March 1).
