ALOR SETAR: Members of the public who accused Attorney General Tommy Thomas of being anti-Islam in messages circulated on social media should surrender themselves to the police, says Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim.

The Deputy Inspector-General of Police also urged those who had shared the message on social media to come forward and assist police in their investigations.

“We are investigating this case and will take action in accordance with the law against those who have made the accusation.

“These people should surrender as we are conducting the investigation under Section 500 of the Penal Code for defamation,” he told reporters after presenting Jasa Pahlawan Negara medals to 300 policemen at the state police headquarters here yesterday.
