Settlers want to restart operations on their land soon

Problem in the air: Workers hosing down vehicles covered in bauxite dust in the Kuantan Port area.

KUANTAN: A local assemblyman is calling on the government to sort out the processes at the end of the bauxite mining moratorium so his constituents can restart operations on their land as soon as possible.

Sungai Lembing assemblyman Datuk Md Sohaimi Mohamed Shah said the settlers in Felda Bukit Goh and Felda Bukit Kuantan were raring to go as they had been suffering from loss of income after bauxite mining activities were suspended in 2016.
