KOTA KINABALU: Repairs were carried out 72 hours after a minister and several government officials fell into the water when a dilapidated bridge gave way while they were visiting the water village of Kampung Bahagia in Sandakan.

It is understood the VIP and his officials were visiting the people at the water village when the wood plank gangway collapsed, which resulted in a few of them falling into the sea on Saturday (Feb 24) afternoon. No one was hurt in the incident.
