KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has advised the public to be careful when carrying out outdoor activities due to the hot weather, which is expected to go on until end of March.
It also advises the public to drink sufficient water and avoid open burning.
MetMalaysia also advised the public to be aware of weather changes as well as to get the latest weather reports via its website, myCuaca application and MetMalaysia social media.
“Malaysia is now at the tail end of the north-east monsoon, which is expected to last until end of March.
"During this period, there will be no rain or very little rainfall,” it said in a statement on Monday (Feb 25).
MetMalaysia said it would continue to monitor the weather condition throughout the country and submit its reports to the relevant agencies for enforcement action.
It will also be constantly updating its heatwave status and that the map could be obtained from the department's website. - Bernama
