Group wants Native Court to step in as Mulu forest-clearing dispute gets confusing

MIRI: Disputes over forest clearing for oil palm plantation development next to the Mulu National Park are getting messy, says the Sarawak Society for Rights of Indigenous Peoples of Sarawak (SCRIPS).

SCRIPS secretary-general Michael Jok on Monday (Feb 25) called on the Sarawak Native Court to quickly arbitrate the ongoing dispute between Penan and Berawan groups against the plantation owner.
