Wan Azizah rubbishes claims PKR, DAP not supporting Bersatu in Semenyih

SEMENYIH: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has rubbished claims that PKR and DAP are not supporting Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia in the Semenyih by-election.

She said it was not logical for PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to say that PKR and DAP would be at fault if Bersatu lost in the by-election.

"That is not logical. In whatever way we work, we hope the voters will vote for us," she said at a gotong-royong programme at Bandar Rinching Seksyen 6 on Saturday (Feb 23).

Wan Azizah said PKR and DAP gave their full support to Bersatu in the election campaign, as they were all in the same coalition.

Abdul Hadi had earlier alleged that PKR and DAP were not going to the ground to campaign for Bersatu in the by-election.

Dr Wan Azizah also urged Semenyih voters to choose Pakatan Harapan as the Selangor government also came under its administration.

"We know Selangor has been under Pakatan for a few terms, and now Pakatan is the government in Putrajaya.

"If there is a close relationship (between Semenyih and state government), it will bring great benefits (to the people).

"I hope voters will see it that way.

"Of course, the opposition will say whatever (they want), but the main priority is to improve living conditions in Semenyih," she said.

"Our candidate (Muhammad Aiman Zainali) will offer that service to the people. We do have our challenges, but we do want to improve conditions and boost the economy," she said.
