Wee: Govt should standardise levy for permit extension beyond 10 years

Dr Wee also urged the Government to consider the views of a majority of Malaysian on the death penalty.

PETALING JAYA: The Government should standardise the levy fees for the extension of permits for foreign workers who have worked in the country for more than a decade to RM2,000 for all sectors, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

"At the end, the entire levy will be borne by the employers, so why not standardise it to RM2,000, which is imposed on the agriculture sector?
