PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan is continuing the previous Barisan Nasional government's trend of appointing politically-linked associates to the Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan (YWP) board of trustees, says the Centre to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4).
The YWP board of trustees during Barisan's rule comprised politicians who were involved in many dubious land deals, said C4 executive director Cynthia Gabriel.
The current board of trustees also includes several Pakatan politicians, and this could lead to corruption, she said.
Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad is the current YWP chairperson.
Other politicians on the board include FT Parti Amanah Negara vice-chairperson Ahmad Zamri Asa'ad Khuzaimi, FT Amanah treasurer Hayatul Kamil Termudi, Seputeh Parti Pribum Bersatu Malaysia chief Mohamad Riadz Mohamad Hashim, USJ Taipan DAP branch pro-tem vice-chairperson Muhammad Khairil Khalid, and Sembrong PKR coordinator Onn Abu Bakar.
