Groups want MACC to step in

IPOH: Conservation groups have lodged a report over a letter alleging that the Perak government had given away some 400ha of forest land for development and which the mentri besar claimed to be unaware of.

The report, involving a forest plantation development project in Kledang Saiong Forest Reserve and Bukit Kinta Forest Reserve in Kinta Manjung district, was lodged at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commis­sion (MACC) office yesterday.
