PETALING JAYA: MCA will strengthen ties with non-governmental organisations, says its president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

He made the announcement on his Facebook page after attending the MCA Chinese New Year open house celebration earlier on Tuesday (Feb 5).

“I am thankful to all guests and VIPs for coming and enlivening the event.

“I will be attending the spring festival open house event by the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH) later.

“MCA will further strengthen its relationships with the NGOs,” he added.

Dr Wee, who is also Ayer Hitam MP, said that Chinese New Year is one of the most important national celebrations in the country, and that the Chinese community celebrates the festive season grandly together with other races.

“On the first day of the Lunar New Year, I wish you all good health and much progress in the year ahead,” he added.
