Car owner lodges police report after vehicle splashed with acid

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): A woman who parked her car at a parking lot of the Aminuddin Baki Institute quarters in Genting Highlands near here was upset that her vehicle was splashed with acid.

Without disclosing details of the case, Bentong district police chief Supt Yusuf Uni said police received a report on the incident from the 46-year-old victim on Monday (Feb 4).

He said in the 9am incident, the victim's husband discovered the painted surface of the white Honda City car peeling off, as acid had been splashed at the front, back and roof portions of the vehicle.

"The victim lodged a police report in Kuala Berang, Terengganu, as she was there when her husband  informed her of the matter," he said when contacted.

According to Supt Yusuf, the case was being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for causing damage through act of mischief. - Bernama
