Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said the reconstruction of the railroad, which had ceased operations for decades, would close the development gap between the interior and the urban areas.
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah will look into the possibility of accommodating Bugis and Javanese representatives in similar ways that kapitans represent the Chinese community, says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
As the Javanese and Bugis are not native Sabahans, the state government will look at laws to allow for them to be represented.
