Inflation mainly driven by additional pressure from the switch to targeted fuel subsidies, continued spillover effects from the reintroduction of the Sales and Service Tax and low-base effects during the three-month zero-rated Goods and Services Tax period.
PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices are down five sen while diesel remain unchanged for the first week of February.
In a statement, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said RON95 is down from RM1.98 per litre to RM1.93 per litre while the price of RON97 decreased from RM2.28 per litre to RM2.23 per litre.
