Marine officials probe viral photos of overloaded ferries in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Marine officials are investigating claims by passengers of a ferry from Labuan to Sabah's south-western Menumbok that their boat was overloaded both in terms of passengers, as well as vehicles.

Labuan Marine director Benjamin Bernard Bijion said they would be looking into the matter and take the necessary steps to ensure that "public safety" was not compromised.
