KULAI: A car rammed into a bank here, causing two people to suffer minor injuries.

Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said the incident happened at around 9.15am on Friday (Feb 2) at Taman Indahpura.

"Initial investigation suggest that the incident occurred due to the carelessness of the driver, who accidentally stepped on the accelerator as she was parking her car near the bank.

"The 78-year-old driver did not sustain any injuries," he said in a statement.

Supt Tok added that the victims were sent to Kulai Hospital for medical attention.

"One of the victims was injured on his left foot, while the other sustained some bruises on her arms.

"Meanwhile, the bank had its entrance glass door, wall and several furnitures damaged due to the accident," he added.
