Consumer Affairs Ministry seized RM1.12mil worth of items in Melaka in 2018

MELAKA, 31 Jan -- Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perpaduan, Sumber Manusia, NGO Dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna Negeri, G. Saminathan (tangah) ketika mengadakan pemantauan kawalan harga musim perayaan Tahun Baharu Cina oleh Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna (KPDNHEP) di pasar raya Tesco Peringgit, hari ini. MELAKA (Bernama): The Melaka branch of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry seized various items worth more than RM1.12mil from Jan 1 to Dec 30, 2018, says its enforcement chief Azeem Nazuri.

He said of the total, RM394,869.94 involved seizures under the Control of Supplies Act 1961, Trade Description Act 2011 (RM712,243.53), Weights and Measures Act 1972 (RM350), and the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 (RM629.25).
