KUALA LUMPUR: There was a rush to open National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) and accounts last year. This has led to the highest number of accounts being opened and the highest amount deposited since the product was launched in 2004.
National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) chairman Wan Saiful Wan Jan said a record 678,829 accounts were opened and RM1.13bil deposited into active accounts.
