PETALING JAYA: The next Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has won the hearts of politicians and the rakyat with his humble ways, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
"Tuanku is a kind-hearted Ruler," said the MCA president, who has known him for 15 years.
Similar views were shared by Sultan Abdullah's second cousin Datin Sharifah Zarinatasha Jamalullail, who described him as a kind, friendly, caring and loving Ruler.
"Tuanku loved his mother (Almarhumah Tengku Ampuan Afzan Tengku Muhammad) very much and Tuanku cares about the welfare of the royal household and the rakyat," she said.
She added that Sultan Abdullah found time to lead the Pahang royal family welfare association, and graciously entertained requests for audiences despite being busy carrying out his duties as the Crown Prince for 44 years.
"I am confident the rakyat would also love Tengku Puan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah who will soon be discharging her duties as the Raja Permaisuri Agong," she said.
