Wee: Higher tax revenue not from Pakatan strategy


PETALING JAYA: The rise in the amount of tax collection for 2018 was due to the strong economic growth in 2017 when Barisan Nasio­nal was the ruling gov­­er­nment, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic).

“Many know that the tax payable this year is from last year’s income. Most taxes paid in 2018 are largely determined by the investment environment and business performances throughout 2017,” he said.
