JOHOR BARU: Johor Umno has questioned the move by state Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) chairman Datuk Osman Sapian (pic) move to become the party's Ayer Hitam division chief.
State Umno secretary Datuk Samsolbari Jamali said the Johor Mentri Besar was an elected representative in the Kempas state seat, which is under the Pulai parliamentary district.
“Why did Osman decide to be in the Bersatu Ayer Hitam division?
"Why didn't Bersatu's Pulai division accept him? It makes more sense if he belonged to that division,” he asked.
Samsolbari said this when met after attending a Pulai Umno talk titled Revolusi Minda Anak Bangsa here on Monday (Jan 21).
It was reported that Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Marzuki Yahya announced that Osman has agreed to become Ayer Hitam division chief as part of the party’s restructuring efforts in Johor.
