Eighteen hikers missing on Gunung Batu Putih in Tapah found safe (updated)

IPOH: The 18 hikers who went missing while trekking on Gunung Batu Putih in Tapah, Perak, have been found safe.

Tapah OCPD Superintendent Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail said they were found at the foot of the mountain at about 6pm Monday (Jan 21).

"An injured hiker was send to Tapah Hospital due to her leg injury," he added.

Earlier, Tapah Fire and Rescue Department head Abd Rahman Ibrahim said a distress call was received at around 12.45pm.

"There are 12 men and six women in the group, and we have been informed that one of the hikers has a broken leg," he said.
