Bukit Aman: Viewing drug problem from social health aspect a mistake

KUALA LUMPUR: Current laws in the country are adequate to deal with the drug problem, butloosening them may make things worse, says Comm Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh.

The Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department director said this in response to the proposal by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Liew Vui Keong that the government should start looking at the problem of drug abuse from a social health aspect instead of a punitive aspect under the criminal justice system.
