BUKIT MERTAJAM: Police have arrested four men and a woman from Myanmar to facilitate investigation into the murder of a 55-year-old employment agent who was found dead with 14 stab wounds in Taman Pulasan, Bukit Minyak, on Saturday.
Central Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said the suspects, aged between 27 and 40, had been remanded for 14 days.
“The five were living in the house where the body was found,” he said yesterday.
At about 3.10pm on Saturday, the body of R. Manogaran was found with stab wounds all over his body at his rented flat unit.
A 33cm dagger was still lodged in his abdomen when a factory van driver found him.
The deceased is said to supply Myanmar workers to several factories in Bukit Tengah and lived with 10 Myanmar workers in the same unit.
