Located in the coveted Bird Streets on a pie-shaped promontory known as the Crown, the 1.2-acre complex was famously owned by Jho Low.

GENTING HIGHLANDS: Bukit Aman has held talks with authorities in China as part of its efforts to track down fugitive financier Low Taek Jho, or Jho Low, who is a wanted man in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) saga, says Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun.

The Inspector-General of Police said there is no new information or development in the hunt for Jho Low.

“We have met authorities from China and even held discussions with Interpol,” he told a press conference after attending a meeting between the Royal Malaysia Police and the Customs Department yesterday.

He added, however, that efforts to find Jho Low are still ongoing.

On another matter, the IGP said the investigation papers on the sedition probe involving Umno supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam have been forwarded to the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP).

Lokman was detained on Thursday after he was called in by Bukit Aman CID in connection with an investigation under the Sedition Act.

He was released on police bail on Friday.

Lokman had claimed that there was a cover up with regards to the investigation into the murder of Fire and Rescue Department personnel Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, 24.

Muhammad Adib, of the Subang Jaya fire and rescue station, was seriously injured while on duty during riots at the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple on Nov 27.

He passed away on Dec 17, and the police reclassified the case as murder.

The police had announced they had completed their investigation into the death of the firefighter and the investigation papers had already been sent to the DPP’s office for further action.
