Skeletal remains of man found under bridge near Gerik

GERIK: The skeletal remains, believed to be of a man, have been discovered under the Raja Muda Nazrin Bridge at Lenggong, near here.

Gerik OCPD Supt Ismail Che Isa said the remains were found by a passer-by at about 3pm on Thursday (Jan 10).

"Based on the ragged clothing on him, we believed it was a man.

"We believed he died about a month ago, though we have yet to identify him," he said in a statement.

"The remains have been sent to the Gerik Hospital for post-mortem," he added.

Supt Isa said the police had received a missing person report prior to this for a disabled person.

"We believed this may be connected to the report," he said, adding that the case had yet to be classified.
