PETALING JAYA: The fight against corruption in the country will be boosted by the inclusion of a provision in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act to identify the actual owners of companies, said Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M).
Its president Datuk Akhbar Satar (pic) said the inclusion of such a provision would prevent proxies from being used by certain people such as fraudsters and as politicians to set up companies.
