Sarawak govt claims to have no debts with federal govt

Slowing exports and tepid inflation have raised expectations that policy makers will need to consider adding to May

KUCHING: The Sarawak government has clarified that it has no arrears in the repayment of its outstanding loans with the federal government.

It said the federal loans owed by the state as at Dec 31, 2018, amounted to RM2.38bil, which were paid based on repayment schedules stipulated in the agreement between the state and federal governments.
