Scanning equipment to be used nationwide to check illegal activities


Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng says Malaysia will find it challenging to meet its 3% fiscal deficit target for next year due to uncertainties around the US-China trade war.

BUTTERWORTH: Scanning equipment worth RM700mil will be used nationwide by end of next year to keep illegal activities in check, says Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.

He said the equipment consisting of six body scanners, eight baggage scanners and 55 cargo scanners would be placed at all border and entry points into the country.
