JOHOR BARU: Police seized drugs worth RM601,650 weighing about 10.5kg in two separate inspection of cars here last week.
Johor deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Kamaruddin Md Din said that the police had arrested two men and a woman aged between 27 and 58.
He added that the first check was carried out last Tuesday (Dec 11) at Taman Perling while the second was on Thursday (Dec 13) at Ulu Tiram.
In the first inspection, the Johor Baru South police found 5.1kg of methamphetamine and 9,970 ecstasy pills valued at RM505,650.
Following this, a local 39-year-old man and a 58-year-old Indonesian man were arrested at about 7.30pm.
In the second check, a 27-year-old woman was arrested in her car by the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) at noon.
Police found 5.4kg of drugs believed to be heroin valued at RM96,000.
The cases have been classified as drug trafficking under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
