Dental centre fined RM320,000 over death of Zahid's son-in-law

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Imperial Dental Specialist Centre Sdn Bhd here was fined RM320,000 by the Sessions Court here on Friday (Dec 14) after it was found guilty on five counts of causing the death of former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's son-in-law, Datuk Syed Alman Zain Syed Alwi.

Judge Harmi Thamri Mohamad @ Shaharuddin made the ruling against the centre, which was represented by a member of its board of directors, Dr Alice Wong Yen Lin, 47, as the person summoned, after finding that the defence had failed to raise reasonable doubt in the case.
