Kuantan boy born with six toes on each foot

MUHAMAD Harras Zaffran came into the world on Oct 6, healthy and kicking ... and with an extra pair of toes, Kosmo! reported.

The two-month-old, who has a unique condition called polydactyly, was born in Kuantan with six toes on each foot.

Nor Faranisha Zainudin, 24, said she and her husband were surprised when they were told that Muhamad Harras, their second child, had 12 toes.

“After he was born, the nurse asked me to count his toes for myself and I was so surprised to find that he had 12,” she said.

Nor Intan Suraini Mohd Yatim, 36, said the body was spotted by several people exerci­sing in the park near Sungai Kolam Lembaga Kemajuan Pertanian Muda.

“I thought it might have been a crocodile when I saw people pointing at the river,” she said.

Nor Intan, her husband and son were on the way to her in-law’s house when she noticed a group of people on the riverbank.

“My husband pulled over and we got out to find out what was happening.

“It turned out to be a body that was still fully clothed. The police came shortly afterwards,” she said.

Pendang police chief Deputy Supt Arriz Sham Hamezah said the victim was believed to be a man in his 40s, adding that the body was in the river for at least 24 hours.
