Cops raid building, seize replica firearms at Jalan Klang Lama

KUALA LUMPUR: Replica firearms were seized after cops uncovered a weapon stash at a premise in Jalan Klang Lama.

Acting on a tip-off, police personnel from the Kuala Lumpur and Brickfields police headquarters raided the building and discovered the firearms - seven HK MPF rifles and a pistol - on Thursday (Nov 29) night.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim said police also seized a cap with a police logo at the premises.

“Initial investigations revealed that the building was supposed to be sealed based on a court order issued on Oct 30.

“We are investigating the matter under Section 36 of the Firearms Act 1960,” he said when contacted.

Comm Mazlan urged anyone with information to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Razif Karim at 013-9961566 or senior investigating officer ASP Mohd Hafizi Ishak at 017-2336343
