KOTA KINABALU: Two suspected Abu Sayyaf members arrested in a nationwide police swoop early this month were sentenced to five months’ jail and one stroke of the rotan for an immigration offence.
Rubber tapper Hassan Ali, 47, and construction worker Din Abdilla, 34, both pleaded guilty to charges under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for not having identification documents in their possession.
