MIRI: A businessman lost RM30,000 to scammers after receiving a call from a person claiming to be a police officer from Johor.
Sarawak commercial crime investigation department chief Supt Mustafa Kamal Gani Abdullah said the 29-year-old victim received the call from “Corporal Asman”, who told him he had been involved in a hit-and-run accident on Nov 19 at Simpang 4, Johor Jaya.
