Trader who plotted attacks jailed


KUALA LUMPUR: A trader who planned to carry out attacks on a transvestite haven, a beer factory and gaming machines in Melaka by using home-made smoke bombs on the eve of Merdeka, was sentenced to 30 months jail by the High Court here.

Judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali meted out the sentence on Mohammed Ekhsan Sulaiman, 24, after he pleaded guilty to planning on staging the attacks at Jalan Tun Ali, Kampung Bunga Paya Pantai, Melaka.
