13,200 online applications red-flagged

KUALA LUMPUR: Some 13,200 fo­­reigners who applied for their visas and entry permits online for entry into Malaysia had their applications red-flagged, said Ultra Kirana Sdn Bhd (UKSB), the sole operator of the e-processing system.

“It is mandatory for the system to check the names of all applicants against the Suspects’ List of the Immigration Department. Each name is run through nine times at different intervals within a day.
