SHAH ALAM: Outgoing PKR vice-chief Rafizi Ramli has urged the Pakatan coalition to focus on delivering its manifesto promises instead of being fixated on PKR's polls.
"The feedback from the ground is that there is cause for concern if we are not able to deliver on our promises.
"That is more important, in my opinion, in terms of Pakatan Harapan's standing in the eyes of the public than what happens internally in PKR's election," he said at the sidelines of the PKR National Congress held at Ideal Convention Centre here on Saturday (Nov 17).
The former Pandan MP said this in response to a question on Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) secretary-general Datuk Marzuki Yahya's statement about allegations of money politics in the PKR polls.
Marzuki reportedly said Bersatu would bring up the issue at the next Pakatan presidential council meeting.
"We always have this standing respect for each other in Pakatan Harapan that we don't interfere in each other's running (elections).
Rafizi said PKR had not tried to cover up such allegations and had been transparent about investigating them.
"People can say we are noisy, it's problematic, but that's why I say that over the past 20 years, it is PKR that has grown from strength to strength.
"We never bury, we never try to cover up. We face the problem head-on," he said.
"Money politics is going to be a problem in any party.
"It just so happens that PKR is the first one to carry out its (party) election (after GE14).
"Just wait until it's Amanah, Bersatu, and even DAP – behind closed doors, there's a lot of talk," he said.
