Wan Azizah: Over 70,000 personnel activated for flood rescue and relief operations

KUALA LUMPUR: More than 70,000 personnel are on standby to help in flood relief operations following the onset of the monsoon season, says Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (pic).

"A total of 78,612 personnel from first-responder agencies such as the police, civil defence, fire and rescue department have been activated to help in flood rescue and relief operations," the Women, Family and Community Development Minister said when answering a question raised by Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff (PAS-Ranau Panjang) in Parliament Wednesday (Nov 14).
