Early morning fire razes 32 shop lots in Shah Alam, no casualties

PETALING JAYA: An early morning fire burnt down 32 shop lots in a market in Shah Alam.

According to a  Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson, teams from the Shah Alam and Subang Jaya fire station rushed to the scene early Monday morning (Nov 12).

"The teams arrived at 5.43am. Preliminary reports showed that the fire stretched three blocks, involving 32 lots.

"Block one units and two, which had 14 units each, were completely burnt.”

The fire was extinguished at 6.43am, and there were no victims, as the shops were closed at the time," said the spokesperson in a statement today.

The spokesperson added that each lot was around 96 sq ft.
