KUALA LUMPUR: An employer group and industry players have strongly opposed the multi-tier levy system, saying it would push up the cost of doing business.
Calling for the government to retain the current levy system, Malaysian Employers Federation executive director Datuk Shamsuddin Bardan said the proposed multi-tier system for foreign workers would have a high impact and burden employers in the plantation and construction sectors.
