PETALING JAYA: The Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council will be meeting today to discuss various issues related to the coalition.
The meeting at 3pm will be attended by the three presidents of Parti Bersatu Pribumi Malaysia (Bersatu), DAP and PKR, along with the deputy presidents.
Coalition chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, as well as PKR President-elect Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, are expected to attend the two-hour meeting to be held at Yayasan Perdana in Putrajaya.
Among the issues expected to be discussed is the acceptance of Umno MPs into Pakatan Harapan, since a few PKR and DAP leaders have voiced their opposition to the idea.
This was triggered by Jeli MP Datuk Mustapa Mohamed joining Bersatu and the statements by Bersatu leaders who said 40 more Umno MPs would be defecting soon.
