GEORGE TOWN: It is the first time in a decade that the federal budget will be tabled with Penang not being an opposition state government.
Many of the state exco members are looking forward to today, especially since the man tabling the budget, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng, is their former boss who made a name for himself by enlarging the state’s coffers tremendously when he was chief minister.
